Breaking news: President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the "Turkey Century Meetings Closing Program" held at the Istanbul Congress Center.
Highlights of Erdoğan's speech are as follows:
- I am so happy to be with you in our precious Istanbul. I send my love to all our citizens in all 81 provinces. I offer my heartfelt gratitude to our comrades who support our cause around the world. I wholeheartedly greet you for your enthusiasm that transcends the confines of halls. Young people, how beautiful you are! May God protect you from the evil eye. Your beauty can pierce mountains. May God make this love of ours eternal. May God strengthen our minds, our thoughts, and our purpose.
- We have a difficult time in CHP-run municipalities. We've been told about numerous problems, from stranded buses to non-flowing taps, from uncollected garbage to allegations of corruption. The problems reported to us in local governments that changed hands in two elections are a lesson in itself. The lists of complaints are long.
- We are now, God willing, finalizing our roadmap for the coming period. The AK Party's path and direction will be determined by the nation. It is our nation's iron will that gives the AK Party its courage. This is the home of those who strive to serve the nation.
- The AK Party is a party that practically invented institutional organization in Türkiye. Our greatest source of strength and confidence is our organization. We are as enthusiastic and excited as we were on our first day. We are determined to continue on our path, renewing ourselves in unity, strengthening our structure, and addressing any shortcomings we may have.
- There is no resentment or bitterness in serving the nation. There is no room for despair. When we set out, we knew this path would be long and fraught with obstacles. Despite this, we did not back down in our struggle to serve. We promised to do whatever was necessary for our nation, which believed in us and trusted us, and we did, and we continue to do so.
- Yesterday, we shared more good news. We launched the housing project of the century in Başakşehir. Hopefully, we will build 100,000 of the 500,000 housing units in Istanbul. I wish it all the best.
- Hot conflicts and wars directly affect many parts of the world, especially our neighborhood. The struggle for military and political power has moved to a new and challenging realm. With our actions, we have managed to keep Türkiye safe from all dangers. They tried every possible avenue, but they hit a wall in all their predictions. Ultimately, we were proven right.
- Turkey is transforming into a global power with its foreign policy, democracy, and defense industry. When we talk about peace and stability, Turkey comes to mind first. A strong Turkey is present both on the field and at the negotiating table. An equation without Turkey can no longer be established.
- On the path to the Turkish Century, we must rid our country of terrorism. Thank God, we have saved our country. God willing, we will continue to work together to rid the swamp of terrorism, where we have martyred tens of thousands of our nation's children. On this point, we are patient and sincere. We are marching calmly towards our goal.
- We will not fall into any traps. We will not be deceived by those who seek to sow discord among us. It is our intention to establish an environment where mothers do not cry, where peace and prosperity prevail. We will first bring a terror-free Türkiye, then a terror-free region, to the children of our country as our most enduring legacy.
